		RALEIGH - Prince Dozier is in Raleigh this weekend to celebrate his grandmother’s 90th birthday, but that’s not the only thing he’s celebrating. He is the first Carolina Cash 5 “Get Truckin’” winner and now the proud owner of a 2008 Ford F-150 Lariat and a gas card to go with it! The Raleigh native received an entry form for the “Get Truckin’” promotion by making a minimum $5 purchase on a single “Carolina Cash 5” ticket. He purchased his ticket several weeks ago at the 70 West Exxon on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. The entry form almost didn’t get sent in. Dozier says he and his fiancé Mindy were driving home with the car windows down when the form got caught up in the wind and almost flew out the window. Mindy grabbed it before it was too late and they mailed it in the next day. Dozier was notified of his win by the North Carolina Education Lottery’s Prize Validation department. “I was halfway asleep when I got the call,” he said. “I thought it was a prank call. I said, ‘Okay, what’s the catch? You’re kidding me!’” Once he realized that he had really won, though, he changed his tune. “I jumped up and down all excited!” he said. When asked if he will keep his current vehicle, he said yes, “It’s free! I’ve got no payments!” While he doesn’t have a car payment, he and his fiancé do now have two vehicles which they will be driving back to their home in BelAir, Maryland … but Dozier says he doesn’t mind at all! The “Get Truckin’” promotion began July 14 and is a chance for “Carolina Cash 5” players to win one of five Ford F-150 Lariat pickup trucks, plus a $1,000 gas card to go with each truck. One truck is being given away each week for five weeks. Dozier won his pickup truck in the first drawing, which was held July 30. There were 76,000 entries.
