		RALEIGH - “Carolina Cash 5” players should check their tickets for the Aug. 21 drawing. One matched all five white balls to win the top prize of $102,998! The ticket was sold at The Border Station on Caratoke Highway in Moyock. In the Saturday, Aug. 23, Powerball drawing, one ticket matched four out of five white balls plus the Powerball and is worth $10,000. This ticket was sold at Rose Mart #14 on West Raleigh Road in Wilson. A total of 36,976 North Carolina Powerball players won prizes in Saturday’s drawing, ranging from $10,000 down to $3 for a total payout in prizes worth $290,751. No one matched all five white balls plus the Powerball to win the jackpot, so the jackpot for the Wednesday, Aug. 27, drawing is an estimated $62 million. The North Carolina Education Lottery (NCEL) has paid out more than $5.8 million total in instant scratch-off ticket prizes since Thursday, Aug. 21. Also since Thursday, “Carolina Cash 5” players have won more than $212,000 and “Carolina Pick 3” players have won more than $635,000 in prizes.
