		RALEIGH - Linda Atkins of Star was in the market for a new car when she won the North Carolina Education Lottery’s (NCEL’s) “Carolina Cash 5” Get Truckin’ promotion. “My Honda is on its last wheel,” she said. Atkins is the fifth and final winner of a brand-new, fully loaded 2008 Ford F-150 Lariat pickup truck. She received the keys earlier today from Tom Shaheen, NCEL’s executive director. Friends and family joined her to celebrate her win and be some of the first to ride in it. “I am so thrilled,” Atkins said. She added, “I appreciate it so much. I love it. I love it!” When the NCEL’s Prize Validation department called to notify Atkins of the win, she says she didn’t believe it and asked, “Is this real?” Atkins expressed her feelings about winning the new truck with a simple, “I feel blessed.” The “Get Truckin’” promotion began July 14 and was a chance for “Carolina Cash 5” players to win one of five Ford F-150 Lariat pickup trucks, plus a $1,000 gas card to go with each truck. One truck was given away each week for five weeks. Atkins purchased her ticket and received her entry form at E-Zee Gas & Convenience #2 on North Main Street in Biscoe.
