-Raleigh Man Wins $200,000 Playing Powerball-
-Powerball Ticket Worth $400,000 Sold in Mooresville;
One Worth $200,000 Sold in Lexington-
RALEIGH - “Carolina Cash 5” players should check their tickets! One ticket in the Nov. 5 drawing matched all five white balls and is worth $587,361. The winning ticket was sold at Market Basket on Cloninger Mill Road in Hickory.

Powerball was also lucky last night with one ticket worth $400,000 and one worth $200,000 sold in North Carolina. Both tickets matched all five white balls drawn, but one ticket was Power Played and is worth $400,000 since the Power Play multiplier was two. This ticket was sold at Food Lion on North Main Street in Mooresville.

The other ticket that matched all five white balls but was not Power Played is worth $200,000. It was sold at Pit Stop on Winston Road in Lexington.

A total of 28,484 North Carolina Powerball players won prizes in the Wednesday, Nov. 5 Powerball drawing, ranging from $400,000 down to $3 for a total payout in prizes worth $779,254. No one matched all five white balls plus the Powerball to win the jackpot, so the jackpot for the Saturday, Nov. 8, Powerball drawing is an estimated $25 million.

Matthew Boster of Raleigh enjoys playing Powerball and decided to buy a ticket for the Oct. 4 drawing when he was in Harkers Island. Boster says he thought maybe being in a small town would make his ticket lucky, and it turned out that it was. Boster’s ticket matched all five white balls to be worth $200,000!

Boster bought his winning ticket at Midway Mart on Cape Lookout Drive in Harkers Island. He says he will invest his winnings and also use some of it to take his family to Disney World.

The NCEL has paid out more than $8.7 million total in instant scratch-off ticket prizes since Thursday, Oct. 30. Also since Thursday, “Carolina Cash 5” players have won more than $954,000 and “Carolina Pick 3” players have won more than $1.9 million in prizes.
