Over half a billion up for grabs this weekend

The Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots are on the rise, and this weekend, you have the chance to win them both, totaling over half a billion dollars.

Looks like we are starting the weekend off right with a Friday Mega Millions jackpot. We’re looking at a high of $130 million worth $88.1 million in cash.

Saturday’s looking just as good with that growing Powerball jackpot. It’s looking like a $373 million jackpot worth $253.7 million in cash. It’s the largest Powerball jackpot since March of 2019.

Remember, you can still win a great prize even if you don’t hit the jackpot. There are nine ways to win a prize in both games, so don’t forget to check your tickets.

In North Carolina, we’ve already seen the dream of winning a jackpot come true for seven players. We’d love to make it eight this weekend.

@NC LOTTERY, THELMA G has a good point. 3 out of 5 ought to be more than 5 bucks. It was hard enough to do before you continually made the odds worse. Now it's really few and far between. Ought to be worth $20-$25 minimum. Oy.

I think I got timed out again. Sheila, I wanted to comment on that lousy dollar you won online. Just let it ride and buy another C5. Please don't fret if you haven't won big yet. Hey Sheila. As far as I know there is no signage up yet. It is something a store owner, who happens to be named Sheila told me . Don't worry it is not a $40 or $50 ticket. But if true it is a ticket I think players will like. The prize payouts are what players have been asking for.
