Test Your Fireball Knowledge for The Chance to Win a T-Shirt

It’s getting hot in here! Fireball is now available as an add-on to your Pick 3 and Pick 4 play, and we’re hosting a promotion to help ignite some excitement. How much do you know about Fireball? We’ve got some burning questions to test your knowledge! Over the next couple weeks, visit our social media pages to play some Fireball trivia and enter for the chance to win a Fireball t-shirt!

Four times between today and October 2^nd, be on the lookout for trivia posts on our Facebook and Instagram pages. See if you can answer the questions, and comment your answer for the chance to win. Five winners will be randomly selected from each post to win a Fireball t-shirt!

Post your comment on the first two posts by the end of the day on Sunday, September 25^th for the chance to win. The drawings for the Week 1 trivia posts will be on Monday, September 26^th.

Post your comment on the next two posts by the end of the day on Sunday, October 2^nd. The drawings for the Week 2 trivia posts will be on Monday, October 3^rd.

I played 689 $1.00 any on the pick 3,and plus added $1.00 fireball option on this number. The pick 3 was 639 and the fireball was 2. SO how can this ticket be a loosing ticket if the 2 is supposed to replace the 8 that I have in my set of numbers? This is supposed to be at least a $30 dollar ticket win! So, explain why it is scanning as "Not a winning ticketNC Lottery

Hi David, the Fireball applies to the drawn numbers, so in this case the winning combinations would be 639, 239, 629, and 632.

Hi David, the drawn numbers were 639 and the Fireball was 2. To match playing 689, you would need the drawn numbers to be 689, or the Fireball to be an 8.

I am beginning to think that this game is a scam. Just as Lisa E stated, I had the exact same thing just happened to me and I am so freaking embarrassed. I walked in proudly and gave what I thought was a winning ticket to the clerk for her to tell me “not a winner“. The number today was 255. I played 235 exact and added the fireball which should’ve made it 285. How is it not a winner? I don’t know but someone’s gonna have to tell me something in person tomorrow. Hey there, Phillip! So with the drawn numbers of 2-5-5 and the Fireball 8, you could make the additional combinations of 8-5-5, 2-8-5, or 2-5-8. As you played Exact, you would need to match one of those combinations, or the drawn 2-5-5, to have a winning ticket. Fireball can replace any of the lottery-drawn numbers to help you create more winning combinations, but your numbers of 2-3-5 did not match Exactly, so this was a nonwinning ticket. Hope this helps to clarify!

Hi, Lisa! Fireball can replace any of the lottery-drawn numbers, helping you create more winning combinations! However, your numbers are always your own and remain the same. So with the 0-0-2 drawn and the Fireball 5, you could create the combinations 5-0-2, 0-5-2, or 0-0-5, and if you had any of those combinations in any order, you would be a winner. I've often wondered why, on the PICK 4 game, you have the "Front Pair/Back Pair" option but no... "MIDDLE PAIR" option - Why not (consider it)?

I understand why "1-Off" went away when "FIREBALL" was introduced but WHY did "SUM-IT-UP" have to go too? It was a great way to win a little more with your (chosen) numbers. I implore you to consider bringing it back!

Hi! I’m very confused by how you win with fireball if you chose the play type any. I played 405 with fireball on the 22nd. The number came out 704 with a fireball of 9. I have the 4 and 0 the 9 would replace my 5. I would assume that if I play fireball with a play type of any if I’ve picked two of the actual number I would win no matter the order(any). To my dismay, I was not a winner. Please help me better understand how this option works. Thanks. NC Lottery
Hi Zenobia, the Fireball replaces the drawn numbers, not your chosen numbers. In this example with the drawn numbers of 704, the additional Fireball combinations would be 904, 794, and 709.

Not a FIREBALL fan. It's almost like betting to lose (or, at the very least, against your numbers) Personally, I wish you'd bring "Sum-It-Up" back! It was a nice "enhancement" to the numbers you play. (Rather than a bet against them).

Good AM, I noticed after the draw numbers you post the total winnings with fireball added. Any chance you will consider separating the totals. post fire ball winnings separate from the number winnings. if someone wants the total they can do the simple math. similar to Florida and other statesNC Lottery

If you played 50/50 with Fireball and matched the numbers exactly, your win would depend on if you played 3-way or 6-way: with 3-way, your total Fireball win would be $120 (because if you match Exact you win both prizes) on top of any wins from your base play. If you played 6-way, you would win $105 plus any base wins.

Fire ball is one the biggest scams in the nc lottery.first you have to actually hit the number to win a fire ball prize..if you don't stay near a center that's more reason not to play if you hit fireball,plus 500 you can't cash at any store.and you guys took 1off away ..so it slim the chance of a win.dont be fooled people..I played 172 $1 50/50 fireball was 4 I won nothing we All take chances at the win $2 per ticket is a SCAM
