Cary man collects $200,000 lottery prize

James Brown of Cary took a chance on a $5 scratch-off and won a $200,000 prize.

Brown bought his lucky Ice ticket from the Harris Teeter on Grande Heights Drive in Cary.

He collected his prize at lottery headquarters Tuesday and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $142,501.

Latest Version of Mobile App - 2.4.0 - installed 18 hours ago on my iPhone 12 with iOS 16.4.1 finally does allow Manual Ticket Entry. BUT TICKET SCANNER NO LONGER WORKS!! Please take this Version down and reinstall prior iPhone Mobile App pronto so I can Scan my Tickets to check for Winners and Enter them into Lucky Rewards. Until then I will need to manually enter the Tickets which is cumbersome and unnecessary. Thank you.NC Lottery
