RALEIGH – A new bingo-style scratch-off game comes to stores Tuesday with five top prizes of $50,000.

Blue Diamond Bingo is a $3 game with more than $7.9 million in total prizes and more than 135,000 prizes between $15 and $50. The game features four bingo cards where players use the “caller’s card” numbers to try to get numbers in a complete line horizontally, vertically, diagonally, in all four corners or in a diamond shape. Players who match all numbers in the form of a complete “X” can win $150 to $50,000. The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 4.27.

One more new scratch-off game also goes on sale Tuesday.

7-11-21 is a $2 game that starts with more than $5.2 million in total prizes. Players win the corresponding prize when they reveal a 7, 11 or 21 symbol. There are six $20,000 top prizes in the game, which starts with overall odds of winning of 1 in 4.64. Players have the chance to win more than 142,000 prizes between $10 and $50 in the game.

Along with draw games, sales of instant tickets make it possible for the N.C. Education Lottery to raise money to benefit specific education programs in all 100 state counties. By law, lottery funds pay for teachers’ salaries in grades K-3, school construction, prekindergarten programs for at-risk four-year-olds, and need-based college scholarships and financial aid. To date, the lottery has raised more than $2.45 billion for these initiatives statewide.
