RALEIGH – Jose Rojas-Noyola of Greenville, S.C. is the final player to win the $200,000 top prize playing the lottery’s Power 7’s game. He purchased his winning ticket, worth $136,001 after taxes were withheld, at Fast Phil’s on Turnersburg Highway in Statesville.

Since the lottery began through June 30, 2012, North Carolina education programs received more than $2.9 billion in lottery funds. By law, those funds pay for teachers’ salaries in grades K-3, school construction, prekindergarten programs for at-risk four-year-olds, and college scholarships and financial aid based on need.
