RALEIGH – James Derosier of Cary is the latest player to win the $200,000 top prize in the 20X The Cash game.

Derosier purchased his lucky ticket on Tuesday morning while buying groceries at the Lowe’s Foods on High House Road in Cary.

“I expect to wake up any time now,” Derosier said as he collected his winnings. “Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d win something like this.”

After state and federal taxes were withheld, Derosier received $138,401.

As of December 2013, the lottery has raised more than $3.19 billion to support education programs. Lottery dollars support teachers’ salaries in grades K-3, school construction and repair projects, prekindergarten programs for at-risk four-year-olds, need-based college scholarships and financial aid and digital learning initiatives.
