RALEIGH – Tondela Harrison, a homemaker from Henderson, is the latest player to win the $150,000 top prize in the Caesars game.

Harrison purchased the lucky $5 ticket at the Wilco on Jimmie Kerr Road in Haw River. After state and federal taxes were withheld, Harrison received a check for $103,876.

“It feels good to have this financial security,” Harrison said as she collected her winnings on Thursday.

Besides the top prize, the Caesars game also offers players the chance to win a trip to Las Vegas. The trip includes airfare for two and four night’s accommodations at Caesars Palace, transportation to and from the airport and $1,250 in spending money. Ten trips are still available to be won instantly and three more trips will be awarded in the game’s last second-chance drawing on April 8.

As of Thursday afternoon, four more $150,000 top prizes remain to be claimed in the Caesars game.

Ticket sales made it possible for the lottery to raise more than half a billion for the state last year. North Carolina Education Lottery net proceeds will be used this year to help pay salaries of teachers and teacher assistants, for pre-kindergarten programs for at-risk four-year-olds, school construction and repair, and need-based college scholarships and financial aid.
