Six North Carolinians are on their way to Las Vegas in January for the chance to appear on the MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB™ lottery television game show.

The players were randomly selected as trip winners after submitting their MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB instant tickets into a second-chance drawing held on Dec. 15. Each will receive a five-day, four-night trip to Las Vegas, where TV game show episodes are taped.

Each of the six players will have a chance to be randomly selected as a contestant on the show. Each episode will offer the potential of more than $2.3 million in prizes. The show, which features Billy Gardell of “Mike and Molly” as host, is taped at the Bally’s Hotel & Casino. Trip winners and their guests will stay at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

“It’s kind of exciting,” said one winner, Kevin Ward of Granite Falls, a maintenance worker at a community college. “I have never won anything like this and I have never been to Vegas.”

The other five winners are:
- Pat Duffel of Linden
- Jerry Hamilton of Pleasant Garden
- Paul Lingenfelter of Matthews
- Linda Pierce of Henderson
- Terry Robinson of Charlotte

The December drawing was the last of four held in association with the instant game which ended Dec. 4. In all, 23 North Carolinians won trips to Las Vegas. One of those winners, Elizabeth Davolio of Hickory, competed on the TV game show in November and won the $1 million top prize.
