RALEIGH – A Greenville, S.C. man is the first player to win $150,000 in the MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB™ instant game. Nathaniel Grissett bought his lucky $5 ticket at the Mountain Energy on Asheville Highway in Hendersonville.

After required state and federal withholdings, he received a check for $103,877. With Grissett’s win, three top prizes of $150,000 remain to be claimed in the game.

Tickets for the game can be entered online at Lucke-Zone.com in a second-chance promotion to win a trip to appear on the MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB TV Game Show in Las Vegas – and a chance to play for $1 million. The first episode airs in the mountain region Sunday at 7 p.m. on WMYA-TV.

The next drawing is set for June 30. Six North Carolina winners will receive a four-night, five-day trip for two to Las Vegas with accommodations at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and the chance to compete on the game show.

Ticket sales made it possible for the lottery to raise more than half a billion for the state last year.
