RALEIGH – A Trinity man is the second player this week to win the top prize of $150,000 playing the MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB™ instant game. Nicholas Gallop bought his lucky $5 ticket at Crossroads Grocery on West Fairfield Road in High Point.

After required state and federal withholdings, he received a check for $103,877.

A Greenville, S.C. man on Tuesday claimed the $150,000 he won playing the same game after buying a winning ticket at the Mountain Energy on Asheville Highway in Hendersonville. Two top prizes remain to be claimed.

Tickets for the game can be entered online at Lucke-Zone.com in a second-chance promotion to win a trip to appear on the MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB TV Game Show in Las Vegas – and a chance to play for $1 million. The first episode airs in the Triad area Saturday at 7 p.m. on WGHP-TV.

The next drawing is set for June 30. At least six North Carolina winners will receive a four-night, five-day trip for two to Las Vegas with accommodations at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

Ticket sales made it possible for the lottery to raise more than half a billion for the state last year.
