RALEIGH – A new $5 lottery game showing up in stores this week offers North Carolinians the chance to win a $200,000 prize.

Diamonds and Dollars begins with more than $16.5 million in prizes and four $200,000 top prizes. The game features more than 24,000 prizes from $100 to $1,000. Players who reveal a “10X” symbol win ten times the prize amount shown. A bonus area on the ticket gives players an additional chance to win a cash prize.

New scratch-off games are released on the “First Tuesday” of every month. Three other new games go on sale this week:

• Lucky 7 Slingo ($3) combines the playstyle of bingo with a Las Vegas casino theme. The game begins with three $50,000 top prizes and more than $5.8 million in total prizes. Players who reveal a “7” symbol win double the prize amount shown.

• Did I Win? ($2) is a new game for players who want to know right away whether or not they won a prize. Players who reveal a “YES” symbol instantly win the associated prize shown. The game begins with five $30,000 top prizes and more than 61,000 prizes from $20 to $50.

• Blackjack ($1) begins with more than 1.4 million winning tickets and 10 top prizes of $4,000. Players who reveal a “21” symbol win the associated prize. Revealing an “ALL” symbol wins all five prizes shown.

Ticket sales for instant games have helped the lottery raise more than $3.8 billion for the state. For details on how lottery funds make a difference, click on the “Where the Money Goes” tab on the lottery’s website.
