RALEIGH – Six lucky players were selected to travel to Las Vegas next month for the chance to appear on the MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB™ lottery television game show.

The players were randomly selected as trip winners after submitting their MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB instant tickets into a second-chance drawing. Each will receive a five-day, four-night trip to Las Vegas, where TV game show episodes are taped.

“One exciting part of the lottery is that its games and drawings can provide once-in-a-lifetime experiences,” said Alice Garland, executive director of the N.C. Education Lottery. “We look forward to seeing if any of our players win big on the game show.”

Each of the six players will have a chance to be randomly selected as a contestant on the show. Each episode will offer the potential of more than $2.3 million in prizes. The show, which features Billy Gardell of “Mike and Molly” as host, is taped at the Bally’s Hotel & Casino. Trip winners and their guests will stay at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

“I’ve not really been to Las Vegas before, so I’m very excited,” said Lewis Watkins, a lab technician at a local asphalt company in Charlotte. “I read that the MONOPOLY game show has given away a lot of million dollar prizes, so I am hoping to get pulled up on stage. I know it’s going to be a great time.”

The other five winners are:

• Charles Davis of Charlotte
• Crystal Winchester of Dudley
• Ricky Sims of Durham
• Tabitha Joyce of Hope Mills
• Olivia Hines of Thomasville

The lucky players earned their entries into the drawing pool after completing MONOPOLY-themed Property Sets by submitting codes from their MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB lottery game tickets at Lucke-Zone.com.

Besides having the chance to be a contestant on the national show, each is also eligible to be randomly selected from the studio audience for a North Carolina segment.
