Don Brown from Mocksville is the first player to win a $100,000 prize in the new Millionaire Bucks game.

Brown claimed the prize Monday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required state and federal withholdings he took home $69,256.

He bought the $20 ticket at the Horn’s Express on South Salisbury Street in Mocksville.

Millionaire Bucks launched at the beginning of this month with three top prizes of $4 million, five prizes of $1 million and eight prizes of $100,000.

Ticket sales from games like Millionaire Bucks made it possible for the lottery to raise more than half a billion dollars for the state last year.
