William Clark from Greenville won $1 million after playing $4,000,000 Multiplier Spectacular.

Clark claimed the prize Monday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. He had the choice of taking a $1 million annuity that has 20 payments of $50,000 a year or a lump sum of $600,000. Clark chose the lump sum, and after federal and state tax withholdings received $412,596.

Clark bought the $20 winning ticket at the Sheetz on Portertown Road in Greenville.

$4,000,000 Multiplier Spectacular launched in March of 2014 with four top prizes of $4 million and 10 prizes of $1 million. Two $4 million dollar prizes and two $1 million dollar prizes remain.

Ticket sales from games like $4,000,000 Multiplier Spectacular made it possible for the lottery to raise more than half a billion dollars for the state last year.
