James Howie of Charlotte is the latest player to beat the odds of 1 in 749,398 to win a Cash 5 jackpot.
He won $120,000 in the Nov.19 drawing.
He claimed his prize Monday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required state and federal tax withholdings he took home $83,100.
He bought the $1 Quick Pick ticket at the Circle K on Central Avenue in Charlotte.
