A set of lucky numbers helped Bharat Patel of Holly Springs win a $199,862 Cash 5 jackpot.
Patel said he’s been using the same lucky numbers for the last two years. On Sunday he beat the odds of 1 in 749,398 to win the jackpot.
He claimed his prize Thursday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $138,406.
He bought the $1 ticket at the Yogi Food Mart on South Raleigh Street in Angier.
