Naun Reyes of Durham is the latest player to win a $1 million prize playing the Ultimate Millions scratch-off game.

Reyes claimed his prize Monday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. He had the choice of taking a $1 million annuity that has 20 payments of $50,000 a year or a lump sum of $600,000. Reyes chose the lump sum.

Reyes bought the $30 ticket at the Kangaroo Express on Holloway Street in Durham.

The game launched in September with four top prizes of $10 million and 18 top prizes of $1 million. Three prizes of $10 million remain and 10 prizes of $1 million remain.

Ticket sales from games like Ultimate Millions made it possible for the lottery to raise more than half a billion dollars for the state last year.
