Terry Biggers of Charlotte, one of two North Carolina players who won big in Saturday’s Powerball drawing, claimed his $150,000 prize on Tuesday.

Biggers claimed the prize at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required state and federal tax withholdings, he received $103,875.

Biggers purchased the winning $3 Power Play ticket at the Express Stop II on Gibbon Road in Charlotte.

The $50,000 prize tripled when the 3X multiplier was drawn for Power Play tickets.

A second winning Powerball ticket worth $150,000 was sold at the Lil Market on Auten Road in Gastonia.

North Carolinian’s next chance to win the Powerball jackpot comes Wednesday night. The jackpot is an annuity of $292 million or $191.9 million cash.

Ticket sales from games like Powerball made it possible for the lottery to raise more than half a billion dollars for the state last year.
