Derendia Evans and Andrew Denison of Swannanoa are the latest players to win $1 million playing Millionaire Bucks.

They claimed their prize Tuesday. They had the choice of taking a $1 million annuity that has 20 payments of $50,000 a year or a lump sum of $600,000. They chose the lump sum and after federal and state tax withholdings, split $415,506.

Evans bought the $20 ticket at the 6 Pac Smoke Stack on U.S. Highway 70 in Swannanoa.

Two $4 million prizes and three $1 million prizes remain in the Millionaire Bucks game.

Ticket sales from games like Millionaire Bucks made it possible for the lottery to raise more than half a billion dollars for the state last year.
