A “Mega” win for Charity Stagg of Battleboro came as she won $100,000 playing Mega Bucks.
Stagg claimed her prize Friday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required state and federal tax withholdings, she took home $69,251.
Stagg bought the $5 ticket at the EP Mart on Benvenue Road in Rocky Mount.
Ticket sales from games like Mega Bucks made it possible for the lottery to raise more than half a billion dollars for the state last year.
