Eduardo Redondo Gross of Goldsboro is celebrating after he won half of a $392,764 Cash 5 jackpot.

Redondo Gross bought the $1 ticket at the Murphy Express on N.C. 581 North in Goldsboro. It was one of two to beat odds of one in 749,398 to win Monday’s jackpot.

He claimed the prize Tuesday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. His half of the jackpot is $196,382. After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $138,453.

Edward Burleson Jr. of Elkin claimed the other winning ticket on Tuesday.
