Cheri Caison of Goldsboro took a chance with an instant ticket and scratched her way to a $100,000 prize.

Caison’s luck happened with a $20 100X The Cash ticket she purchased at the Lighthouse Food Mart on North Herman Street in Goldsboro. She claimed her prize Tuesday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After state and federal tax withholdings, she took home $70,756.

The 100X The Cash game started in February 2018, offering three top prizes of $4 million, six $1 million prizes, and six $100,000 prizes. One $4 million prizes, two $1 million prizes, and 1 $100,000 remain to be won.

Players can also enter any of their Multiply The Cash instant tickets into four second-chance drawings. Each drawing offers chances to win either a top prize of $50,000, one of eight $5,000 prizes, or one of 25 $500 prizes. The entry deadline for the first drawing is March 31.
