Stanley Lanier of Lexington is the first player to win a top $200,000 prize playing the new Lucky 7 Bonus scratch-off game.
Lanier bought the winning ticket at the Lexington Shell on South Main Street in Lexington.
He claimed the prize Wednesday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $141,501.
The $5 ticket launched this week with five top prizes of $200,000. Four top prizes remain.
