Peter Kenny of Holly Springs is celebrating after he won a $100,000 lottery prize.

He bought the winning $150 Million Cash Explosion ticket at the Sheetz on Avent Ferry Road in Holly Springs.

He claimed his prize Tuesday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $70,756.

The $20 ticket launched in October 2018 with four $4 million prizes, six $1 million prizes, and ten $100,000 prizes. Two $4 million prizes, three $1 million prizes, and five $100,000 prizes remain.
