Stephanie Reutter of Concord tried her luck on a scratch-off ticket and bagged a $100,000 prize.

Reutter stopped at the Zoom Express on Skyway Drive in Monroe for her Millionaire Maker ticket. She claimed her prize Friday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required federal and state tax withholdings, she took home $70,759.

The $30 game launched in March with 30 $1 million top prizes and 10 $100,000 prizes. Nine $1 million top prizes and four $100,000 prizes remain to be won.

Ticket sales from scratch-off games make it possible for the lottery to raise more than $900 million per year for education. For details on how $14.7 million raised by the lottery made a difference in Cabarrus County in 2020, visit www.nclottery.com and click on the “Impact” section.
