Patricia Plonchak of Southport became the latest Ultimate 7’s winner when her ticket revealed a $100,000 prize.

Plonchak purchased her winning $20 ticket from Lowes Foods on Midway Road Southeast in Bolivia.

She claimed her prize last Wednesday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh and took home $70,756 after required federal and state tax withholdings.

Ultimate 7’s launched this month with four top prizes of $2 million and eight $100,000 prizes. Four top prizes and six $100,000 prizes remain to be won.

Ticket sales from scratch-off games like Ultimate 7’s make it possible for the lottery to raise more than $725 million a year for education.
