Emmanuel Tucker of Durham celebrated the 4th of July by winning half of a $316,182 Cash 5 jackpot.

Using his own numbers, Tucker purchased his winning ticket for Sunday’s drawing from the Bull Market on West Lakewood Avenue in Durham.

He claimed his half of the jackpot, $158,091, on Tuesday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required federal and state tax withholdings, Tucker took home $111,850.

A Cherokee County man won the other half of the jackpot with a ticket purchased at the Hot Spot on West U.S. 64 in Murphy.
