Thomas McInnis of Ellerbe tried his luck on a $20 scratch-off and won a $100,000 prize.

He purchased his 100X The Cash ticket from the Circle K on Jefferson Davis Highway in Sanford.

McInnis claimed his prize Monday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh and took home $70,756 after required federal and state tax withholdings.
