Barbara Gullatt of Raleigh took a chance on a $1 Cash 5 ticket and won a $368,522 jackpot.

Gullatt won her first $824,160 Cash 5 jackpot in March of 2021.

She purchased her lucky ticket for Sunday’s drawing from Fuel Stop on Little Brier Creek Lane in Raleigh. She arrived at lottery headquarters Monday to collect her prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $261,688.

Cash 5 is one of four lottery games in North Carolina where players have the option of buying their tickets at a retail location or Online Play, either through the lottery’s website or with the NC Lottery Official Mobile App. Cash 5 tickets are $1 and drawings are held every night. Tuesday’s jackpot is $110,000.

Ticket sales from draw games such as Cash 5 make it possible for the lottery to raise $2.5 million a day on average for education. For details on how $65.1 million raised by the lottery made a difference in Wake County in 2021, visit www.nclottery.com and click on the “Impact” section.
