The Powerball jackpot keeps climbing and now stands at $364 million for Saturday’s drawing.
A winner on Saturday could claim the jackpot as a $364 million annuity or $179 million in cash.
While players keep trying for the jackpot, one lucky $3 Power Play ticket in North Carolina matched four white balls and the red Powerball to win $50,000 in Wednesday’s drawing. It tripled to $150,000 when the 3X multiplier was drawn. The ticket came from Catamount Travel Center on U.S. 441 North in Whittier.
“We continue to see people in North Carolina winning big prizes during this Powerball run,” said Mark Michalko, chief executive officer of the N.C. Education Lottery. “That’s why we like to remind players to always check their tickets carefully after each drawing since there’s nine different ways to win.”
