The Powerball jackpot continues to climb as it now stands at $456 million for Monday’s drawing.

A winner tonight could claim the jackpot as a $456 million annuity or $219.9 million in cash.

As North Carolinians continue to go for the jackpot, lots of other big wins have occurred recently in the state. Two lucky tickets in North Carolina matched four white balls and the red Powerball in Saturday’s drawing to win $50,000. One of the tickets, a $3 Power Play ticket, increased to $150,000 when the 3X multiplier popped up.

• The $150,000 win occurred at the Sheetz on U.S. 70 West in Goldsboro
• The $50,000 win happened at the Gas Express on U.S. 74 West in Monroe

“We always enjoy seeing so many big wins for North Carolinians playing Powerball,” said Terri Rose, Chief Brand Officer of the N.C. Education Lottery. “We would love to see a jackpot win here tonight. Good luck to everyone going for the big prize.”

Players can buy Powerball tickets at any lottery retail location or through Online Play on the lottery’s website, www.nclottery.com. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
