The Powerball jackpot continues to grow as it now stands at $315 million for Monday’s drawing.
A winner tonight could claim the jackpot as a $315 million annuity or $154.9 million in cash.
“We have seen lots of great prizes won recently by North Carolinians playing Powerball,” said Mark Michalko, executive director of the N.C. Education Lottery. “Of course, we would love to see a jackpot win here tonight. Good luck.”
Check out these Powerball wins for North Carolinians on Saturday:
• $100,000: One lucky $3 Power Play ticket matched four white balls and the red Powerball to win $50,000 in Saturday’s drawing. It doubled to $100,000 when the 2X multiplier was drawn. The ticket came from Mars Hill using Online Play.
• $50,000: One lucky $2 ticket matched four white balls and the red Powerball to win $50,000 in Saturday’s drawing. The ticket came from Harris Teeter on Carolina Beach Road in Wilmington.
• 20,735: The total number of winning tickets in North Carolina in Saturday’s drawing.
Players can buy Powerball tickets at any lottery retail location or through Online Play on the lottery’s website, www.nclottery.com. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
