Bethany Ulm of Fuquay-Varina tried her luck on a Fast Play ticket on Nov.10 and won a $110,890 jackpot.
She bought her lucky $5 Holiday Luck ticket from Food Lion on North Main Street in Raleigh. At the time of Ulm’s win, the Fast Play jackpot stood at $221,780. Since Ulm purchased a $5 ticket, she received 50% of the jackpot.
Ulm arrived at lottery headquarters Friday to collect her prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $79,288.
Fast Play features an instantly growing jackpot that increases with every ticket sold until it is won. As of Monday morning, the Fast Play jackpot stands at $207,055 and counting.
