Mega Millions and Powerball players in North Carolina can take a shot this weekend at jackpots totaling more than $1 billion.

A Mega Millions jackpot winner tonight would have the choice of taking home the $607 million jackpot as an annuity or $286.9 million in cash.

A Powerball winner on Saturday could take home the $443 million jackpot as an annuity or $210.3 million in cash.

“These impressive jackpots provide an exciting weekend for our players,” said Mark Michalko, executive director of the N.C. Education Lottery. “Bringing these jackpot wins to North Carolina would be all the more exciting.”

As both jackpots continued to grow, North Carolina players have collected thousands of prizes.
Wednesday’s Powerball drawing had more than 18,800 winning tickets and Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing had more than 26,000.

Players can buy Mega Millions and Powerball tickets at any lottery retail location or through Online Play on the lottery’s website, www.nclottery.com, or with the NC Lottery Official Mobile App.
