Brenda Harvey of Benson took a chance on a $50 scratch-off and won a $100,000 prize.
Harvey bought her lucky $10 Million Spectacular ticket from Don Lee’s Grocery And Grill on N.C. 50 in Willow Spring.
She arrived at lottery headquarters Monday to claim her prize and, after required federal and state tax withholdings, took home $71,514.
The $10 Million Spectacular game debuted in December with five top prizes of $10 million, 20 prizes of $1 million and 20 prizes of $100,000. Four $10 million prizes, 15 $1 million prizes and 14 $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed.
