Tammy Wade of Gastonia took a chance on a Fast Play ticket on Sunday and won a $217,105 jackpot.

Wade bought her lucky $2 Break the Bank ticket from Tom’s Family Mart on Stony Point Road in Kings Mountain. At the time of her purchase, the jackpot stood at $1,085,525. Since Wade bought a $2 ticket, she received 20% of the progressive jackpot.

She arrived at lottery headquarters in Raleigh on Monday to collect her prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $155,231.
Fast Play features an instantly growing jackpot that increases with every ticket sold until it is won. As of Tuesday morning, the Fast Play jackpot stands at $721,000 and counting.
