Jack Dixon of Oxford got his second jackpot win in less than two months on Thursday, this time landing a $161,534 digital instant jackpot win.

His first big win came in July when he won a $487,750 Cash 5 jackpot.

“It’s kind of unbelievable,” he laughed.

The second occurred Thursday morning when Dixon, a factory worker, bought a $1 ticket and won the top level ‘Epic jackpot’ in the Bison Bonanza game. The digital instant game features a progressive jackpot that can be won at any time. The odds of Dixon’s win were 1 in 31 million.

“I’m just thankful,’” he said.

He claimed his prize at lottery headquarters Tuesday and, after required federal and state tax withholdings, took home $115,498.

Dixon said he doesn’t know exactly how he will spend his winnings but he wants to “do something good with it.”

In the Bison Bonanza digital instant game, a player can play from 50 cents to $30. After Dixon won the jackpot, it restarted at $50,000 and is now over $174,000 as of Tuesday afternoon.

Digital instant games are played exclusively online on the lottery’s website or on the NC Lottery Official Mobile App. Twenty-seven different games are available to play online now.
