Jacqueline Colvin of Greensboro took a chance on a $20 scratch-off and won the first $250,000 top prize in a new holiday game.
Colvin bought her lucky Winter Winfall ticket from the Harris Teeter on West Friendly Avenue in Greensboro.
She arrived at lottery headquarters Monday to claim her prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $179,381.
The Winter Winfall game debuted last week with three $250,000 top prizes. Two $250,000 prizes remain to be claimed.
