The Powerball jackpot continues to roll as it now stands at $593 million for Wednesday’s drawing.
A winner tonight could claim the jackpot as a $593 million annuity or $277.6 million in cash.
“Powerball players in North Carolina have won nice prizes lately including a $200,000 win over the weekend,” said Mark Michalko, chief executive officer of the N.C. Education Lottery. “That’s why it’s important to check your tickets carefully after every drawing. Good luck tonight.”
Saturday’s $200,000 win came on a $3 Power Play ticket purchased in Timberlake with Online Play. The ticket matched four white balls and the red Powerball to win $50,000. After the 4X multiplier was drawn, the prize quadrupled to $200,000.

Tonight’s jackpot is the second-largest Powerball prize offered this year, trailing only the $1.7 billion jackpot won Sept. 6 in Missouri and Texas.
Players can buy Powerball tickets at any lottery retail location or through Online Play on the lottery’s website or the NC Lottery Official Mobile App. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
