A phone call in the middle of a workday became a moment Bonny Harmon of Sanford will never forget when she found out she won the $250,000 grand prize in a second-chance drawing.

“I was actually in a meeting when I got the call,” Harmon recalled. “I told all my coworkers, ‘Guess what? I just won the lottery.’”

Harmon said she became overwhelmed when she got the news.

“Thank goodness there was a chair there because I thought I was going to pass out,” she laughed. “I had to sit down.”

Harmon won the top prize on Wednesday in the first of four 2025 Multiply The Cash Second Chance drawings. There were more than 33 million total entries in the drawing.

“I was on cloud nine,” she recalled. “My head is still up there in the clouds.”

She arrived at lottery headquarters Friday to collect her prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $179,375.

“I am so, so excited,” Harmon said. “Now I can spend more time with my family.”

Players get a second chance with their Multiply the Cash scratch-off tickets by scanning them into their lottery accounts where they are automatically entered into the drawing. In addition to the $250,000 top prize, the drawing had four $20,000 winners and 20 winners of $500. The second drawing will take place on June 4.
