Jose Ascencion Longino of Troutdale, Va., took a chance on a $20 scratch-off and won a $100,000 prize.
Longino bought his lucky $2 Million Vault ticket from the Walmart on Mount Jefferson Road in West Jefferson.
He arrived at lottery headquarters Thursday to claim his winnings and, after required federal and state tax withholdings, took home $71,756.
The $2 Million Vault game debuted in May with three top prizes of $2 million and six $100,000 prizes. Two $2 million prizes and four $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed.
