The Powerball jackpot continues to grow as it now stands at $308 million for Monday’s drawing.

A winner tonight could claim the jackpot as a $308 million annuity or $137.7 million in cash.

While players keep trying for the jackpot, one lucky ticket in North Carolina matched four white balls and the red Powerball to win $50,000 in Saturday’s drawing. The ticket came from the Speedway on Capital Boulevard in Wake Forest.

“It’s important for players to check their tickets carefully after every drawing because there’s nine different ways to win,” said Mark Michalko, chief executive officer of the N.C. Education Lottery. “Saturday’s $50,000 win is a good example of that. Hopefully we get more big wins in North Carolina tonight.”
