Powerball players can have fun this weekend trying their luck on a $350 million jackpot.
A winner on Saturday could claim the jackpot as a $350 million annuity or $156.5 million in cash.
“We have seen some nice prizes won on this Powerball run already and we would love to see a jackpot win in North Carolina this weekend,” said Mark Michalko, chief executive officer of the N.C. Education Lottery. “Make sure to check your tickets carefully after the drawing on Saturday.”
Even though the jackpot remains up for grabs, players are taking home lots of other prizes. Wednesday’s Powerball drawing produced more than 14,000 winning tickets in North Carolina.
North Carolinians also help education programs in the state when they play Powerball. The current Powerball run has raised over $6.2 million for education in North Carolina.
Players can buy Powerball tickets at any lottery retail location or through Online Play on the lottery’s website, www.nclottery.com. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
