North Carolinians have a chance to play for the tenth largest Powerball jackpot in history tonight with a $750 million prize up for grabs.
A winner tonight could claim the jackpot as a $750 million annuity or $338.6 million in cash.
While players keep trying for the jackpot, one lucky $3 Power Play ticket in North Carolina matched four white balls and the red Powerball to win $50,000 in Saturday’s drawing. The prize doubled to $100,000 when the 2X multiplier hit. The ticket came from the Walmart on North Tryon Street in Charlotte.
“Powerball has a long history of offering massive jackpots so, any time a Powerball jackpot reaches the top 10 in the game’s history, players are going to get excited,” said Mark Michalko, chief executive officer of the N.C. Education Lottery. “Tonight could be a life-changing night for some lucky North Carolinian. Good luck.”
Check out how North Carolinians win when they play Powerball:
