James Willis of Raeford tried his luck on a $2 Fast Play ticket and won a $138,213 jackpot.

Willis bought his lucky 10X The Cash ticket on Nov. 30 from Short Trip on Stoney Point Road in Fayetteville. At the time of his purchase, the jackpot stood at $691,065. Since Willis bought a $2 ticket, he received 20% of the progressive jackpot.

He arrived at lottery headquarters on Wednesday to collect his prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $99,528.
