The Mega Millions game shows no signs of slowing down as lottery players in North Carolina can play for a $533 million jackpot on Tuesday.
A winner tonight would have the choice of taking home the $533 million jackpot as an annuity or $244.2 million in cash.
“People play Mega Millions because they dream of winning a life-changing prize and tonight’s $533 million jackpot would certainly qualify,” said Mark Michalko, chief executive officer of the N.C. Education Lottery. “We are all hoping that some lucky North Carolinian brings it home tonight. Good luck.”
As the jackpot grows, players are winning lots of other prizes playing Mega Millions. Friday’s drawing produced more than 8,800 winning tickets in North Carolina.
Mega Millions players also benefit education in the state as the current jackpot run has raised over an estimated $8.7 million for education programs in North Carolina.
The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 290 million.
Players can buy Mega Millions tickets at any lottery retail location or through Online Play on the lottery’s website, www.nclottery.com, or with the NC Lottery Official Mobile App.
